A Message From the Principal

Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and all other members of the SoRo community,

It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to South Royalton School for the 2012-2013 school year.  It will be a year full of new beginnings for some (including myself) and exciting learning opportunities for all.  I am thrilled to be joining a community with such a long history of dedication to this school, its students, and its faculty.

As we begin this school year, I hope we are all ready to learn something new.   Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the playing field, or around the lunch table, learning with one another and from one another is what it’s all about.  This is a special school full of extraordinary teachers, creative students, and supportive parents and community members.  Opportunities to learn and grow are all around us.  So let’s jump in, challenge ourselves, take a risk or two, empower others along the way, and discover that we are capable of much more than we may think!   Learning is a journey, full of twists and turns and not without a few obstacles here and there.  That’s when having company on the journey makes it much less scary and gives us the support we need to press onward.

I look forward to learning right alongside you this year.  It will surely be a journey to remember…Welcome Back and Bon Voyage!

Yours Truly,

Gail V. Trotin
