June 17th, 2015

Dear Parents and Students,

It is time to start thinking about the fall athletic season for the 2015-2016 school year.  If you plan on participating in athletics at South Royalton School next year please make sure you have the following completed prior to the first day of practice:

  • Register for all sports you wish to participate in
  • Well Exam – Sports Participation Clearance Form (physical)
  • Confirmation of insurance

We will be using gomyreg.com again to sign up for sports. If you participated last year, your login information will remain the same. Physical expiration dates will also stay in the system but insurance information will need to be updated.

The Well Exam physicals are valid for two calendar years.  Please double check the expiration date of your last Well Exam to determine whether you need to schedule one for the summer. All dates can be found within your account on GoMyReg.com.

Please make sure to complete every section of the registration.  Plan ahead and register for all sports you think you may participate. Registering for a sport does not mean you have to participate in that sport, it just means you can join if you choose. This will make it easier for the athletic department to determine how many teams will be needed prior to the season starting.

Reminder that athletes that show up for practices without all paperwork handed in will not be allowed to participate.  Wellness Exam Forms are included in this mailing, or they can be found on the school’s website (www.soroschool.org).

Game and practice schedules will be posted on the school’s website in early August.  Start dates for soccer and Cross-Country are as follows:

V Soccer: August 13th (first day to practice)

V Soccer: Boys/Girls (first game is Sept. 5th)

MS Soccer: Aug. 31st (First game is September 11th)

Cross-Country: TBD (First race is September TBA)

MS Cross-Country: TBD (First race is September TBA)

You can expect a letter from your coach at some point during the summer that will give details about where to meet for practices and what to bring with you.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Athletic Office (763-7740 ext. 204) at any time over the summer if you have any questions.

Have a great summer!

Sincerely,

Frank Romeo
